Welcome to the Reformed Church of Shawangunk founded in 1753 is the
oldest church still in use in the
Reformed Church Congregations in America,
the oldest denomination in the United States. Situated among the beautiful
Shawangunk Mountains, the church remains a vibrant faith community with roots
going back 255 years and continues to herald the gospel of Grace in an attempt to
lead people to the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Every Lord's Day the
Reformed
Church of Shawangunk Choir
ushers us into the Lord's presence with their
wonderful voices in preparation to hear the Word of God as presented by the Rev.

Read Ben Stein's "My Confession".  A defense of American
religious freedom for all.  Ben Stein takes on today's liberal
anti-God posture and puts it all into perspective. Not intending
to be funny, but thought provoking.  A great article to share
with friends and foes.

Adopted Family Program
Billy Graham once challenged a group of Christian leaders
stating that if every church in the United States would
according to its size adopt a family who is struggling to make
ends meet, and help them until they can get back on their
feet, there would be no need for welfare programs.

The leaders of the Reformed Church of Shawangunk have
taken this challenge to heart and embarked on a pilot
program to adopt a struggling family in need of targeted
assistance and provide temporary help with the goal of
helping the family get back on their feet.

This is a temporary subsidy and empowerment program.  It is
not designed nor structured to provide assistance long-term
or an indefinite amount of time.  The program is interactive
where goals are set according to each situation and
continued assistance is incumbent upon goals met.
