The Shawangunk church family has a prayer network that prays for the needs of the church but for the greater community as
well. Have a need? Need prayer? Let us know and we will let all our people know who faithfully pray.  Have a joy? Want to share
it? Let us know and our family of faith will know and rejoice with you. There our over 50 faithful prayer warriors on our e-mail
prayer chain plus many more that are contacted by phone. If you have a joy or concern that you would like on your behalf,
please contact

Pray for all service men &
women and their families.
All Government leaders,
especially our President.
That the Lord give him
wisdom to lead this
country in righteousness.
Families in need and
struggling to make ends
meet particularly during
these times of financial
uncertainty.  Many in our
area need our prayers
because of the price of
fuel for home and car it
has become harder to
keep food on the table.
The lists below contains the names of people that need long time prayers.  We will keep the names on the list until the Lord answers.

If you have a joy or concern that you would like on your behalf, please contact Lis Tucker and she will
immediately relate your joys and concerns. Her email is

This Month's Prayer Concerns
Remembering 9-11
Pray for those in the
country suffering the
aftermath of hurricanes,
floods, and any other
natural disaster.
When you pray, pray with all your heart, with all your mind, and with all your soul.  Pray with all your might until its
supplications reach their goal.  Pray early until the sun rises, pray until it riches high noon, pray until it sets ushering
the twilight moon.  And when your knees are calloused and your body weakened by age, listen to the words of the
learned Sage: "when you have finished praying and there seems nothing left to pray for, quiet your heart and know
that he is God and he'll give reasons to pray some more.

Then Pray Some More. . .
According to the weather reports it is 122
degrees in Iraq right now. For the next seven
days it is forecasted that the average will be 120
degrees.  Our troops need our prayers for
strength, endurance, and safety.  That the Lord
grant them and all the men and women of our
armed forces all the
inner and outer strength they need to prevail.
Let us pray!

Special Needs
On September 11, 2001, four U.S. planes hijacked
by terrorists crashed into the World Trade Center,
the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly
3,000 people in a matter of hours. Behind the
staggering number of deaths are the individuals, each
of whom left behind family, friends and co-workers
who feel the national tragedy on a personal level. Let
us take time during our day to pray for those who
suffered directly or indirectly the aftermath of that
dreadful morning.  Let us remember that evil does
exist, and it needs the rocks of prayer to dash its
powerful waves.
Remember to Pray!
